In addition to an excellent selection of Keynote Presenters the conference program will include a performance by;

Elizabeth Navratil

Liz NavratelElizabeth Navratil has worked extensively in Brisbane, around Australia and overseas as performer, director and writer. She has performed in the critically acclaimed Cabaret Erratica touring to the Melbourne Fringe Festival; the National Festival of Australian Theatre in Canberra; the NIDA Theatre in Sydney, and to Perth. 

Numerous directors have worked with Elizabeth including Meg Kanowski, Therese Collie, Katrina Devery, Russell Dykstra, Lowana Moxham, Annette Innes, Marcus Hughes and Annette Downs. She has also performed with Grin and Tonic Theatre Company working with founder Bryan Nason and internationally acclaimed voice teacher and author Cicely Berry.  Elizabeth also maintains an on-going creative collaboration with interdisciplinary artist Maree Cunnington.

Career highlights:
Performing with Geoffrey Rush in Grin and Tonic’s production of Shakespeare’s Troilus and Cressida.  Elizabeth wrote and performed her one-woman show Hostage of Fortune at La Boite Theatre’s Shock of the New Festival. This production was also seen at the Brisbane Festival in 1996 and 1997.

  • Directed Future Shock for DADAA (WA)’s Orbit Festival in Fremantle
  • Played the principal role in Access Arts’ Ca Ca Courage, at the Powerhouse for the Brisbane Festival.
  • Received a Commendation Certificate at the Matilda Awards for her role in Ca Ca Courage
  • Performed comedy at the Kickstart Festival in Vancouver, Canada.
  • Performed comedy at the opening of the 5th National Performance Conference in Brisbane. 
  • Awarded a Centenary Medal for service to the performing arts as a comedian and advocate for people with disabilities.
  • Performed comedy at the Above and Beyond Festival in Cheltenham, England.
