Getting There
Launceston is located in the North of Tasmania, and is serviced by a good regional airport with flights arriving daily from all major cities. Qantas, Jetstar, Rex and Virgin airlines fly to Launceston.
The Hotel Grand Chancellor is located in the CBD of Launceston. Taxis and shuttle buses offer the most convenient transfers between the airport and Launceston city. Taxis from the airport cost approximately $30 – $35 and the airport/hotel shuttle service costs $10 but must be prebooked to guarantee a seat. Public transport facilities in Launceston are good, with frequent bus services. Taxis abound
and are reasonably priced. It is best to speak
